Caring for Your Vehicle Magnet

Vehicle magnets are a great way to advertise your business on the go, with flexibility to remove and interchange your graphics quickly, and is also one of the most cost effective ways to brand your vehicle. With magnetic signs, a vehicle can be quickly transformed from personal to business use in seconds.

Here are a few quick tips we recommend to help get the most out of your new magnetic graphics.

Applying your Vehicle Magnet

Before applying your new vehicle magnet, clean and dry both the vehicle and magnetic sign using a mild cleaner such as windex, and a soft cloth. Dirt and water on either the vehicle or magnet can cause scratching of the painted surface.

Avoid applying your magnet to molding and indentions on your vehicle. Magnetic signs are designed to work on flat or slightly curved surfaces only. If not securly attached, the magnet will come off, which could be a hazard while driving.

Weekly Care of Your Magnet

Remove and clean your magnet and your vehicle at least once a week. This is to avoid magnetic polarization of the paint on the vehicle and the magnet prior to placing it back on your vehicle.

If you are going through a car wash, remember to remove your magnet before hand!

 Remove Magnet in Extreme Weather

Remove your magnet in extreme heat or cold weather to avoid damaging the quality of the material.

The magnet may become highly pliable in extreme heat, and too stiff in extreme cold resulting in not properly gripping the surface of your vehicle.

Storing Your Magnet When Not In Use

When your vehicle magnet is not in use, store the material on a flat surface. Do not roll or fold your magnet.
